Books & Coffee Karaköy

Nice concept. Good interior. Lots of space upstairs, though a bit too dark and gloomy but still good enough place to work with a laptop and spend as much time as you want, or to enjoy books. Meeting with friends not much recommended because the noise can distract others who come here to concentrate. Outside terrace not nice due to ugly streeet and lots of traffic and noise. Then, the worst part.The prices are equal to Switzerland or London, and the service is horrible. I have to order at the counter (self service), then they forget a spoon for a cappucino and i have to run twice to ask for it. They refused to add complimentary water to my coffee, and made me pay extra. The guy at the bar never smiles and obviously doens't know how to please the customers. With these price levels, this is unacceptable.
Besides, there are no napkins. When asked, they long time couldn't understand what I wanted. No paper in the toilets. Toilets are dirty, and locked with hanging locks.
The music is terrible annoying pop whig doesn't correspond with the concept of this atmosphere.
There is no food to consider being edible.

Wasn't impressed by their service.,, got my order mixed up with another person's.

Awesome cafe with a beautiful book-themed decor. Perfect place to read a book, but there’s also wifi and you can get some work done on your laptop. There are two different upstairs areas, and lots of coffee specialties and other beverages to choose from.

Has good wifi to work

My absolutely favourite caffe in Istanbul. It is beautiful and people working here are amazing, not to mention that coffee is so delicious that you can "forget" that you had 3 already and get one more. Can't wait to come back.

If you are around Karakoy and need a cafe to work or take a break. Go here. Has a nice mezzanine work area overlooking cafe. wifi is decent. Coffee is ok. Larger quieter area up the circular stairs is perfect place to chill also 👍🏻

I had water and well done caramel latte. The prices are so reasonable and affordable. It has a nice working/studying atmosphere

It's a nice and cosy place with good wifi but the service isn't that great. They took away my thee before it was empty... after pooring some in my cup almost floading it. Then sending me away because there was a reservation even though there were other tables free.

What's not to like? There is coffee and tea, snacks, funky décor, good wifi and cats. Prices are fair and the service was always friendly and prompt. Employees speak decent enough English that you'll communicate with them just fine. I like this hidden little place a lot.

worked for quite a while here and will be back. The wifi is fast, and the drinks and borek were both delicious. The staff was also very nice!
