Phenomenal americano I had. Great unique pistachio cookie. Great vibe too. Small. No laptops policy, despite they have good wifi. Closed at 5, but warm, cozy, good treatment, courtesy.
laptop space - only 2 spots at a tiny bench table facing the wall. Had a coffee, refilled it with water and then the waitress asked to take it away. I assumed she would replace it, maybe with another glass but was still drinking it. Coffee was okay - nothing
We came in to order coffee to go, none of the 3 women present greeted us (despite us greeting them). We stood in front of the counter waiting for someone to take our order; the employee with short light brown hair kept staring at us (standing right in front of us) before seemingly deciding to do something else instead. After the 4th eye contact, we decided to leave (my partner told me he wanted to go, but I waited for a while, certain something would finally happen- it did not). It had become really weird and uncomfortable to stand in the middle of a cafe without being acknowledged. I can see we're hardly the only ones who took issue with the service. It shouldn't be that hard to say something like "apologies we are busy but will be with you in a minute". It is honestly so weird to stare at clients without a word, as if they had popped into the middle of your living room uninvited. This from someone who used to work in a coffee shop- people tend to come in looking to order, so my free suggestion to you is to find another job if you're not into basic human interactions. Perhaps something in an office?
No laptops allowed.
This is an amazing place in Lisbon for specialty coffee. The atmosphere is great, owners are super friendly and helpful, and the people you get to randomly meet there definitely have something special. In need, you can also open up your laptop for work, the place is super cozy.
High prices, no Portuguese spoken, no permission to use a laptop even though it is not clearly highlighted in the table and nowhere else either.
The worst part after I was served, though, was that even though one of the waitresses, the one who let me know I couldn’t use it, was very nice, the other behaved rudely, leaving me standing at the counter for ages as if I wasn’t there instead of asking how she could help.

First of all: I don't mind speaking English at all, but if the only two employees available when I'm served only speak English, "no Portuguese spoken" is accurate.
Second: a price isn't high or low based on what a few other cafes practice. I'm not talking of special filtered coffee either.
Third: you're being rude by assuming I wanted to make a work space out of the cafe just because I wanted to use my laptop temporarily before moving on.
Buna is the best coffee shops in Lisbon. Love people, coffee and works too.
