Perfect place to work remotely, the wifi is one of the best I’ve seen in cafes, they have tables you can charge your computer!
Great place that offers a variety of seating, whether you want to do some work on your laptop or just enjoy the view of the canal.
Cute cafe and friendly staff, laptop stolen here though so beware of other patrons
Beware if you want to work on a laptop at this place. They are extremely unfriendly towards people who want to have a cup of coffee and work for a bit. In some spots you can only work on a laptop until noon, in others you're not supposed to work on a laptop at all.
Also, they don't accept cash. I've witnessed a tourist trying to pay with cash and they wouldn't let him, even though cash is legal tender in the Netherlands.
Staff is friendly, but tends to overask customers whether they want to have something else, and as soon as you finish your drink (and sometimes before that), they'll take it away, presumably to encourage you to order something else.
Otherwise it's a nice place, but the whole vibe put me off a little bit. There are also many other nice places in Amsterdam where they don't have these unfriendly rules.
I have been a frequent customer, but after this latest rule telling people what they can and can't do at their seat, I won't be coming here anymore.
My laptop automatically connected to eduroam 😂 and it’s quite fast. Great place to work
Wont let me use my laptop when inside, and food is too expensive. Staff is also unfriendly
Grand cafe type of place. Stylish design, beautiful mosaic floors and high ceiling. One long table to work with laptops and read news papers. laptop free zone. Great for lunch/ coffee.
Outside is a great terrace on the waterside. Perfect spot on a sunny day.
Guide was saying nice room at the 1st floor… room closed…
No table for the 3 of us inside and when we asked if there was any outside on the terrace, the waitress asked us to go and check by ourselves and disappeared.
Next guy told us to find a table on our own, no need to ask him… sorry mate we were asking you to find us a free table or keep an eye for one while we are waiting.
3rd one, the young lady just told me to move away from the “welcome” desk.
At this point, I moved outside of this place.
Like I read somewhere, this place is maybe famous for its location but definitely not for the professionalism, attention and kindness of its staff.
No comment on the food… we didn’t go that far. When people do not want to work… I simplify their task 👋🏻.
Disappointed on the food quality - good for a coffee and co working though
Great place for coffee also have tables for laptops who would like to do some work. Very friendly staff, nice interior and good views by the water if you would like to sit outside.
Good coffee, plenty of room, and dedicated spaces for laptops so they don't take the whole place over.
My go to place for a warm cup of fresh ginger tea & snacks! Not recommended for work though as it can get quite busy.
Great place to have a coffee or just to work a bit
Great place to work remote while having a drink or two.
