Wife and I had a relatively early breakfast here. To be honest I thought we were going to another place so this was an unexpectedly pleasant find.
From the look of the place I wasn't expecting much. It looked like it was going to be one of those overpriced underwhelming breakfast places. Water was poured as standard as we were shown to our table. We ordered a mocha and a piccolo as the coffees and a scrambled egg croissant for the lady and a bread pudding for myself.
I had contemplated the papas breakfast but I have been disappointed too many times in Singapore with a big price tag and pitifully small offerings to be hooked into that again.
The food came first- which was odd. Normally places serve coffee first as (in my opinion) it suppresses the appetite meaning you can get away serving less food and people will feel full despite the small meal size. Not here. We were seated near the kitchen hatch so had a sneaky view of the chef in action now and then. The man looked like he was working out of a broom cupboard. But... the quality of his handiwork was excellent. The egg croissant was heaped with soft fluffy well flavoured scrambled eggs, a good sized portion that my wife was happy with.
The bread pudding was superb. Without wanting to sound like a verbose englishman, it was perfectly coloured, just the right combination of density and squidgy-ness and the flavour was exceptional. The accompanying scoop of ice cream was a good size - not one of those where you feel like you have to order another scoop to finish the pudding. And the blue and blackberries felt fresh to the taste buds.
In summary, the bill was moderate and the food exceptional.
The coffee arrived a bit on the late side but when I glanced in the mirror it was obvious why - the barista was ensuring every cup got the full attention and it showed in the end product. Excellent coffee.
The waitstaff were a bit muted and certainly not as fluffy as the eggs but it was a Monday morning at 9am - we were none the better.
I'd recommend this place, and happily eat there again. To be fair given the size of the other dishes I saw going past us - I might even consider ordering the papas breakfast next time.

Would be a good spot for a catch up with a friend or go on a first date. Though I did work here for a couple hours, I found the vibe to be more of a social cafe than a working/studying one.

Online ordering system is smooth, screenshots below.

Coffee flight was good, food was varied and gave me typical vibes of a modernbrunch spot from the US.

This place has an unusual setting in a former hardware shop. A pleasant and unique ambience to relax and have a cup of coffee, a juicy drink or some desserts to sweeten up your day. It’s a pleasant place to chit chat with friends or just doing your office stuff on your laptop.

Probably not relvant for locals, but as a short term visitor, I couldn’t order. Because it’s only online using QR code and there is no wifi for customers. And nobody came to get my order as well.

The place is nice. I would have tried again if the staff showed any attention. But that did not happen.
