Super nice croissants and pastries. Not the coziest cafe though, but if you’re working in the library, this place is the perfect pit stop.

Great coffee inside the library. Super fast wifi as well.

Good coffee at market price. Nice music and working environment.

It would say that before I tried Democratic I didn't know what Coffee was. First time I went there they recommended me their Espresso and I must say I haven't tried anything that matches it so far (having visited many other coffee shops), that's why I go there whenever I can. The pastries are home made (you can actually see the baker working there) and also super-b. I love the "Blueberry Danish". One day I asked for it. As they had run out of it, they offered me to wait 10' so the baker could make one for me specially.

My partner and I dropped in during our first day in Copenhagen. Not only was the coffee of the highest quality, but Kevin, one of the baristas working, took 5 minutes to come and sit with us and recommended us a wide range of bars and restaurants to check out during our stay.

In short, come for the coffee - stay for the travel advice!

While on a week-long Copenhagen visit in October 2021, my friend and I visited two to three coffee shops a day. Loving coffee, we were determined to find the best cafe in the city. Democratic Coffee Bar is definitely on our top five list.

The space itself is beautiful with a long window table for sitting. They have a full coffee menu and sell pastries in the morning. My latte was creamy and well balanced. They have an area to add sugar to it if needed.

The service was friendly and fast and their wifi strong and easy to access.

Have been to this place 10+ times in the last month and the coffee has been consistently great. The prices (compared to the city) are reasonable and the filter coffee is also Top notch. A crossiant here and there also stood out as epic quality. There is not a lot of seating and they do not have their own wifi. However, you can work and sit down in the library next door, including taking your drinks there.

Great coffee located literally by the Copenhagen Library, many tables, free wifi from the library, friendly staff as well. What else :)?

No wifi. Imposible to have a work here

I really enjoyed the cappuccino and croissant here. The cappuccino flavor was rich and not acidic. The prices are average and the location is connected to the Copenhagen main library. As such, there's plenty of seating and open wifi. It's pretty busy here because a university is nearby but people come and go all the time. There should be seating eventually...

High standard cafe. Great coffee, tasty pastry and savouries. Narrow space, good for chilling a bit, large windows observing city life. Free wifi. Price is also on the high end.

Friendly cafe with comfy open seating in the public library, decent wifi and some power outlet options, plus open until 9pm on weekdays.

Coffee was nice. Came here expecting to do some work on my laptop but realized that it was a mistake - the tables and chairs were changed to lower ones so it’s a more relaxed setting for small children and families. Not particularly quiet even though it’s connected to library. It will be a nice place to chat with friends or small children.
