At Espressolab, coffee is at the heart of the drink selection. Specialty coffees are emphasized, including varieties such as Costa Rica Volcan Azul, Burundi Businde Kayanza, Colombia Excelso Decaffeinated, Honduras Xiclete La Paz, El Salvador Pirineos Usulutan, and traditional Turkish coffee. The origin of the beans is fully transparent; Espressolab collaborates with Seedtrace, allowing customers to track the journey of their beans from country and region down to the specific producer. Fair trade and sustainable production are central principles. A unique highlight is the Therma-Freeze method, in which coffee beans are flash-frozen at –30°C. This innovative process preservers aroma and freshness at the highest level, resulting in richer and more balanced coffee. This method is particularly beneficial for rare and specialty beans, retaining their distinct character for longer periods. Regular workshops also introduce guests to brewing techniques and coffee expertise.
