Amazing Van Gogh themed cafe, great atmosphere with staff who were friendly and assisted us in our requests. There is wifi and is a great place for dessert. The toilet was extremely clean. We loved all the staff, they were exceedingly nice!
The quality of the food was so bad and not professional, the fruits was old and not fresh, the stuff are not friendly and they didn’t care about the comments, the food are different than the ones in the picture, I don’t recommend at all. the price was so high comparing to the quality of the food. The visa machine was not working and we had to pay by Euro and at first they didn’t accept it.
This is a real curiosity. A oasis of calm and quiet amidst the wall of sound and noise of the old city. There is actually no music on their terrace. Don't worry the neighbors have it loud enough for 2 places. Pricing is correct, adapted to the location. The service is good and helpful.
The interior is totally dedicated to the spirit of Vincent, so obviously overdone. It all fits.
The food is also a curiosity. Simple menu, no frills, but really tasty.
The sunflower salad tastes like Vincent's painting, voluptuous.
Burgers are a notch above the competition and the desserts round up the totally overall experience.
This place moved up to my top 10 places.
Keep it up, whatever it is, it's working.
Unique. Special. Cozy. Comfortable. Spacious. Only some of the words desrcibing that thematically decorated cafe, dedicated to Van Gogh. The ambience is great for art-lovers. The staff is so friendly and polite, always willing to help, giving away smiles. Cards accepted. wifi. Outside sitting. Don't miss it.
This cafe is clearly meant for tourists. Not quite worth the hype. The pancakes were great. The ham & cheese omelet was good. Coffee was decent, but nothing special. The presentation was better than the consumption. I ordered a mega caffe latte and it came with a paper straw which deteriorated within a minute, to the point where I literally couldn't even suck any coffee through it anymore. So I was annoyed, to say the least. Also, there are no menus. You have to scan a QR code with your phone. A place of this caliber should have menus. Theres just no excuses anymore. COVID is over. I guess a plus would be the free wifi, but again, when you firce customers to scan a QR code to access the menu, you SHOULD provide wifi. So... eh. I don't see myself returning to this place.
Service took long time, 2 waiters managed to "don't see or hear" us once or twice.
The assistant waiter was great, helpfull and fast this is the only reason the service is getting 2 stars and not 1 star.
The 2nd floor was hot, only one AC was working and it wasn't a pleasant feeling.
Not returning there
Over-hyped and over-priced.
20 lei for a tiny lukewarm cappuccino & terrible wifi.
It's not grand at all, just a big room with arches & a wall full of Van Gogh prints, so many better places to go.
Unimpressed.
I'm putting the 5 stars. Because every single person working there was friendly with us. (Btw the food was amazing) we had to wait a little bit because it was busy but in the rest it was amazing.
I am rating this as 3 only for the drinks. The atmosphere is cool and the personnel is very nice (I would have given 10 for the girls and boys working here, very nice and friendly). But... somebody might have forgotten the recipe for the Aperol spritz for what I had today was water with aperol only and no (or very small amount of) prosecco. Or... the quantities for the prosecco and soda were switched. For such a simple cocktail, it's a shame. Overall, the taste was aperol and a looot of water.
This is not my first time here, I have had my drinks in the past and they were good. So, I am assuming (actually hoping) today was only a bad day.
Nice atmosphere, nice drinks, always crowfed and a little bit noisy. Very slow service, had to wait 30 minutes for a salad. Also, the wifi internet is slow or doesn't work.
The place is extremely beautiful and atmospheric.
My only “problem” was how stressed the waiters were. It wasn’t their fault, however, since the place was jam packed with people and to me it seemed that there should’ve been more waiters working. Perhaps there’s an understaffing problem?
Other than that: hard-working staff and gorgeous locale.
Nice breakfast spot in the city centre. I had the Dutch apple pie with ice cream, which was delicious. Good coffee, professional service and free wifi.
The atmosphere is really nice with the paintings all around and everything. Went in for coffee only, the espresso was mediocre too watery for my taste. Prices are too high with additional 10% service charge at the end which results in even more dissapointment. The service was also mediocre, where the young lady told us to wait outside for the table when there were more than half of the tables empty, then a guy approached us and seated us as we should be at first time. Waited some time to receive the menus, and then for them bringing the coffee, I'm mentioning that just because there were 10 of them working and talking to each other rather than be doing their job. But sure thing they brought the receipt quickly 😉
Must do for a coffee! People working there very helpful and kind!
This place had great reviews and pictures looked good so I thought I’d try it. Very disappointed! Ordered a Latte which arrived shortly after. The pancakes took probably more than 40 minutes to arrive! I think they had 1 person working in the kitchen ! The latte was ok and the pankcakes were mostly dry and dense! I looked around and no one finished their plate and it wasn’t a lot of food. I don’t recommend this place for breakfast.
Great atmosphere, but very pricey. Tends to get busy over the weekend or after working hours (7pm). Service is OK, coffee will check the basics
