Java Lounge - Peradeniya

Back for another review of this wonderful place. Spent two productive afternoons working in the cool comfort of the cafe with lots of coffee and food and wifi - who could ask for anything more? The staff are amazing and Tharusha was especially helpful, 2 days in a row. Staff who understand what a coffee shop should be!

Pretty good place for working if you're fine with just 30 mins of wifi connection and they also have power outlets. internet connection was very slow though.

One of my favorite spots to come and work. Coffee and food are so good. The place is so calm. Most of the time I come here for work. If you are looking for a power outlet to connect your laptop, they have it, just like other outlets. Staff also so friendly. Inshaf, Lakshan, Lupun thank you guys ✌️

Great place. My go to place when I need a place to work and and replax a bit. Kudos to Lakshan and Sarvin for the excellent service.

For the price and expectations I didn’t get what I hoped for. It’s not bad but not amazing either. If you want to sit outside right now there is construction and pretty loud but of course that’s not their responsibility. For the price, coffee isn’t that tasty as I expected. Just regular, simple coffee, not professional. The service is fine, no complaints. When you ask for wifi they give you a temporary password which works only for one person so every person in group need to go and ask for the code, come on 😂 The washroom is fine but it’s a bit smelly downstairs, outside the washroom

This coffee shop is a fantastic place to work on my laptop. The atmosphere is quiet, spacious and productive, all is very well maintained & clean. The staff, Mohammed, Anjana, and Thilina, are all very friendly and attentive. I loved their double espresso and the spicy sandwich was delicious, too! Highly recommend it! There's indoor and outdoor seating.

Thanks for the great coffee and wonderful service, Thilina, Lakshan and Deneth! The wifi signal was very stable and good. And I highly recommend Java Lounge for remote workers.

Quick summary:
- wifi is limited to 30 min per voucher and doesn’t even break the 1 Mbit/s
- cake was pretty stale and tasted only like pure sugar
- in general most drinks are really sweet (maybe locals like it but not for western tastebuds)
- only highlight were the nice guys working there

Great food and coffee, air con, fast wifi and friendly service - whats not to like ! We were served by Inshaf, Lakshan and Modhushantra who were great.
