Lock Stock Coffee

Such a cool hidden gem on Jasper. I’ve wanted to visit for a couple years, and it didn’t disappoint!

Love the old wood and unique atmosphere. Friendly baristas. Enjoyed a well balanced latte with smooth espresso paired with quality Elmhurst almond milk.

My father had a hot chocolate, which looked to be steamed with dark chocolate chunks (maybe not for those with extreme sweet tooth’s, but perfect for the dark chocolate connoisseurs).

They are also on top of the covid precautions, with plexi glass, disinfecting and hand sanitizer.

It doesn’t appear to have wifi, but I may be wrong.

Plenty of pay parking, or find somewhere residential and take a 15 walk, like we did.

Whether it’s a coffee to go or spending some time enjoying the great brew in house, local downtown favorite in #yeg♥️☕️👌

Location: Jasper ave and 105street. Edmonton, Alberta #yeg . A few steps down from the main street, you can’t miss the big Red Star (The coffee shop entrance is to the right of Red Star Pub)

Parking: Jasper ave and surrounding area street parking or parkades. I use MyEPark app for convenience, unless I actually have change on hand in my vehicle.

Time: I have had the pleasure of stopping in during my lunch hours midday. I do go out of my way to stop here as opposed to larger chain coffee shops Downtown.

Ambience: Music is not too loud, dim and warm lighting. Friendly and smiling staff each time I visited. Free wifi available. The music selection is always on point...I actually don't know how this is possible each and every time I step foot in here!

Food/drink: I enjoyed their BLT, which was super tasty with a hint of sweetness. Vanilla latte with almond milk. Excellent 👌

Allergy/diet accommodations: wish they had more gluten friendly options, but nobody’s perfect 😉 They offer non-dairy milk varieties if you enjoy lattes like me.

Service and Quality: When it comes to coffee...I love me some great quality. I find it here. In addition, if you get the chance to sit down to enjoy your lunch here...do it...they serve their large lattes in a Pint glass, but its served at the perfect temperature so you can actually touch the glass so its not too hot, so you can also sip it right away, without waiting for it to cool!

The music is amazinggggg and great staff, also love the atmosphere, lights and tables with outlets for your laptop

Not overly crowded around 11:00am but busy enough to people watch. Great spot to work and fill your music bucket.

I got a flat white and the ham and cheese tartine, both fabulous. Twinkle lights are always a win for me :)

Great place to get a coffee and a quick bite. Lots of patrons on their laptops here. I wish they had a bigger breakfast menu but the options provided are adequate but also very tasty.

My favorite part was the ambience. Cozy, good music, quiet vibe. Great place to get some work done or have a meeting.
