Madal Cafe is a leading specialty coffee shop in Budapest, first opened in 2013. It has since expanded significantly, earning a reputation for high-quality coffee and a welcoming atmosphere that offers a peaceful retreat within the city. The cafe is named in honor of Sri Chinmoy, whose childhood nickname was Madal and whose peace philosophy has deeply touched the owners. Since 2014, Madal has been roasting its coffee beans weekly at an in-house micro-roastery just outside Budapest to ensure fresh coffee is always available for patrons. Aside from offering excellent coffee, the cafe has been running barista training courses since 2016, drawing many loyal customers. Madal Cafe is committed not only to fostering coffee culture but also to sustainable and charitable community engagement beyond daily interactions. It is a hub for coffee enthusiasts, providing added value through its partnerships and joy in select barista events.

By far my favorite coffee shop in Budapest! Amazing coffee, great food and the best atmosphere to get some work done. Also fast wifi, not common in other coffee shops!!
Very spacious cafe with wifi. Goji berry fudge is our family favorite.
Интересное заведение, неплохой персонал, капучино сильно молочный но с терпкими нотками, короче кофе не для ценителей.
wifi не подключает ты стоишь в очереди все время, подключает но интернета нет, к так скорость 500/30 mbps
заведение просторное, к сожалению некоторые столы laptop free, есть больше столы и барная стойка, бесплатная вода. Советую посетить но на 1 раз.

Clean and cozy place! Ideal for working because the place is big and the wifi is so fast (200Mbps).
They offer not only coffee, cakes, etc. But also lunch, as pasta, sandwiches and othe dishes.
They are honestly great and much better than the California Coffee Company. Everything is high standard: friendly service, good ingredients, drinking water at your disposal and for free. wifi works smooth.

It's very spacious and they have many tables yet, it's pretty popular. I ordered matcha latte which is a little bit expensive than the ones at other cafes but it tastes good. For lunch, I ordered quesadilla with rice between. wifi works good and they have outlets as well so it's perfect for working.

Many people work there but must be loud for meeting online. Of course it's not design to accommodate whoever is making calls. Just saying for reference, if you plan to go with your laptop. Otherwise my coffee was great, deserts were delicious and vegan. However macchiato was a bit sour.
They have many choices. Coffee and tea lovers. Last time we tried Tea Latte and Maché Latte were yummy 😋
They got loyality card as well if you are coming frequently. It's very big and convenient place to come with your laptop or alone enjoy moment.
