Mocca Oslo
🇳🇴 OsloAbout Mocca Oslo
About
Mocca Oslo was founded by Robert William Kallhovd Thoresen after his return from working as an architect in San Francisco, driven by a dream to create something meaningful for people. The journey began with the Java Espressobar in St.Hanshaugen in 1997, which quickly established itself as one of Oslo's best coffee bars and a regular spot for locals. The café's philosophy centers on uncompromising quality in every detail: from beverages and atmosphere to interior design and, above all, the raw ingredients used. The drive to craft the best coffee led, in 2001, to the opening of Mocca Kaffebar and its own micro-roastery at Briskeby. Together with Trish Rothgeb, Robert laid the groundwork for the signature KAFFA roasting style and flavor profile, which has become renowned in Norway's coffee scene. Mocca Oslo aims to be a meeting place for coffee enthusiasts, offering a refined atmosphere, a focus on high-quality coffee, and an enduring passion for the art of hospitality.

Coffee & Drinks
At Mocca Oslo, the focus is clearly on coffee, offering a diverse selection of high-quality coffee drinks. From the very beginning, delivering excellent coffee has been at the heart of the café; this vision led to the establishment of its own micro-roastery at Briskeby in 2001. The coffee beans are roasted by KAFFA, whose signature roasting style and flavor profile were developed by Robert and Trish Rothgeb. Guests can expect expertly crafted coffee specialties made with premium raw ingredients, served in a thoughtfully designed and welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely sweet, smooth coffee- not a strongly roasted flavour and no bitterness. Also excellent cinnamon buns which were so moreish- squidgy and ultra fresh, with a chewy crust. Really nice people working there as well.
