Decided to give this place a try after my yoga on a Sunday! Didn’t make any reservation but i was lucky to get a seat after waiting fr about 5 mins? Ordered the hot mocha $5.5 and full English breakfast $16 as pictured. Mocha didn’t taste as bold as i was hoping fr which is a bummer but the food was awesome and filling. Also had a pain au chocolate $3.5 takeaway which is just fine. Tiong Bahru’s definitely better. All in all it was great will be back again someday to try out the other stuff on the menu. Ohh one last thing about the door to the kitchen or toilet. The door slams hard and loud which honestly could get pretty annoying and disturbing. Please just work on that :)

Very good coffee and a good place to get some laptop work done as they have wifi. I liked the assortment of pastries as well as their breakfast options, but in my opinion a bit too pricey!

Great coffee, good spot for a short work session and friendly staff.

The old Penny University was way better. I always remembered them fondly because of the good service and food, which was why we wanted to go back again. However, standards really dropped ever since they moved to a new location.

Food: Scrambled eggs was so salty, I felt like I was just eating salt directly. The hotcakes tasted more salty than sweet even though it's not meant to be a savory dish.

Service: Kitchen forgot the second dish. First dish was served in 5mins and we waited another 15mins more for the second dish before getting the service crew to check on our order. It was apparent that the order was missed out because shortly after they went to check, my hotcakes was served in 5mins.

I also ordered British Breakfast tea separately and I noticed that no one was making it at all. The barista had already finished making cups of coffee for other tables and even left for break. Yet, my tea was still not served after 10mins. Clearly this was ALSO FORGOTTEN.

Atmosphere: It's hot as h*ll. I'm not sure if the AC is even working. I was sweating while I eat. Perhaps consider putting glass doors at the entrance? Flooring idea is good aesthetically-speaking, but a bad idea as it's not practical. It's uneven so beware...
