We followed the sign saying “wait to be seated” and stood near the cashier, assuming we were doing the right thing. Turns out, we were just blocking the payment queue while waiting for someone—anyone—to acknowledge us. Three staff members were working, but it still took around 10 minutes before someone told us we could sit anywhere.

Eventually, a menu showed up and I ordered a shakshuka and a latte. The first red flag? Being asked if I wanted an egg with my shakshuka. That’s like being asked if I want water in my tea.

Naturally, the coffee arrived first—because the barista, chef, and waitstaff seem to operate in entirely separate dimensions. No coordination, no timing. So while I waited for my food, my latte cooled to the temperature of a forgotten corpse.

The dish finally arrived. I hesitate to call it shakshuka. It was a sad mix of bell peppers and tomato sauce, a bit of chili, a sprinkle of feta on the side, a thick, chewy bread crust, and a boiled egg tossed in as an afterthought.

Desperate to make the best of it, I asked for some extra bread. Took 5–10 minutes just to get someone’s attention and another 10 minutes to be offered the bread—for an extra charge. By that time, it was pointless, so I declined.

If you’re just after a coffee and don’t mind a bit of chaos, maybe it’s tolerable. But if you’re thinking of ordering food? Save yourself the disappointment.

Schnelle to go Kaffees.

Innen minimalistisch eingerichtet. Leider ist der Laden überteuert. Ich hatte eine Scheibe Brot mit 2 poch. Eiern darauf und 1 Tee. Ausgegeben hab ich mit kl. Trinkgeld 19,69 € 🤔

It is a highly overhyped place. The staff isn't very nice and the speed of the service is very slow. I tried the place twice and had the same disappointing service both times.
I ordered two drinks and a dish outside and got told by one staff if I would like to get in since there are other customers that would like to enjoy the sun and understood that I was staying outside for my dog as it is very warm inside. And another came after 3 minutes saying that it is not allowed to use laptop outside on weekends which wasn't informed anywhere in the cafe. There were the customers at other tables who stayed longer than me. Then he was repeating that the dog could stay inside when I specifically told him twice that it is too warm for my dog like he didn't listen at all.
I had to leave exactly after one hour I got there.

Better having a time limit rule which is VISIBLE if you want to be fair. Won't visit again.

Allerbestes Café in München.

It‘s my happy place.
