I drive all the way from Burnaby to come here. I love the vibe and the setting. The coffee shop is new and the open concept design within a pretty luxe hotel is fab.
The Prado staff is relatively friendly; the coffee is on point; their menu items both for breakfast and lunch are delicious and healthy.
Bonus points for laptop plugs and ample space to work, and no traffic noise because of the brilliant location.
Love it and would definitely encourage you to give it a try!
Decent cafe for a cup of coffee and gossiping or working in your laptop.
I’ve got my morning coffee from here.
Nothing fancy, just a regular cafe du lait with almond milk. It costed me around 9 with tip.
The coffee roast was medium, it did taste slightly better than Tim’s next door.
More than the coffee, I felt I’m paying for sitting in this cozy lobby. I wouldn’t mind sitting here for a while although working from this cafe might be another thing. No sufficient spots for plugging in.
would I come back? Not sure, might be only when I feel rich enough to splurge 8-10 on a medium latte.
Always the nicest experience in pearl regardless of the location. The gal working the counter was super kind - once I realized she was Japanese I asked if I could try ordering in Japanese to get ready for an upcoming trip. They let me, slowly, order and then even encouraged/provided the answer when I was fumbling. Great drip coffee, the blueberry white chocolate scone was firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Such a rad experience. Keep it up team. You have a solid thing going and I appreciate your stuff are kind and positive.
Nice cafe, I got pumpkin latte n turkey sandwich ( good one), coffee was little sweeter than I expected. Also I saw some breakfast options in the reviews so I came here to have breakfast but they only had sandwiches n wraps. I liked an environment though it’s just in the hall of the kpu campus, have many tables to seat, students are working on their laptops, very lively. So it’s good enough to grab a coffee or have quick bite, but not for a breakfast or proper meeting with someone (as I said it’s not stand alone separate cafe)
Ordered coffee here few minutes ago. I ordered strawberry almond latte, it tasted gross. I think this is the worst latte I had and I paid $7 for it. when I told girl working there she offered a refund and felt sorry. 5 stars for customer service. Honestly you can go to other cafes that are less expensive and better. Its also in a wide open space and its not really a quiet or private place to study as its in an open area. Hope this review helps!
I ordered a medium roast Congo Kiva beans online yesterday, and when I got to the coffee shop in Surrey today, the barista there told me that it was sold out. It is unfortunate as I was looking forward to try the beans from Congo as they are not easy to find in lower mainland. The barista who was working there was very friendly and patient. She offered me different solutions and to try a sample of the Costa Rica beans. I ended up picking the ones from Guatemala instead. I hope Prado could keep the website up-to-date so it doesn’t confuse the customers and put the barista in challenging situation.
One of the best coffee shops in the lower mainland bar none. Cozy atmosphere inside the brand new Civic Hotel right in downtown Surrey, located literally next to the brand new 78,000 sq ft City Library, new Surrey City Hall, and newly renovated Surrey Central Station with direct access to downtown. Coffee and breakfast is top notch, as was the excellent service. Free wifi and washroom available for customers. Highly recommended!
Lots of space and good seating, quiet, beautiful new building and tons of glass, good coffee like all Prados, staff are awesome, clean bathroom, lots of headroom, has plugins, buuuuuuut... The wifi is atrocious. To me this location is great as a meeting location and coffee to go, but I'm not able to work here regularly.
