Rocket Bean Café

1 | The first Estonian branch of a café backed by my favorite Latvian roastery. Rocket Bean serves excellent coffee and has a cozy, inviting interior. If you’re into specialty coffee or just need a place to work on your laptop, this café is a solid pick.

2 | They use beans from their own roastery. During our visit, there were several options to choose from, and the barista actually asked which beans we preferred. We went with one that had a slightly cheeky name, and the flat white with oat milk turned out beautifully fruity and full of flavor. I could drink coffee like that every day.

3 | Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality matches. An espresso goes for €2.70, a cappuccino for €4.30, and a flat white for €3.80. Oat, almond, and lactose-free milk are included at no extra charge. Card payments are accepted.

4 | The interior deserves praise too, with plenty of light wood and natural brightness. The hanging bulbs give the whole place a warm, relaxed vibe. It’s also well-suited for working on a laptop, though a few tables have signs saying laptop use isn’t allowed there.

5 | You can grab a sweet treat to go with your coffee. A buttery croissant is €2.80, the chocolate one €3, and a small Estonian poppy seed pastry goes for €3.20.

6 | The café also sells an impressive range of Rocket Bean coffee beans. The selection covers multiple types - from blends and the basic bronze line, to the better silver, the high-end gold, and finally the platinum edition, which features rare micro-lot beans.

Great atmosphere, excellent coffee, friendly people:) people working there are passionate and give out such a great energy.

Great choice for expats working remotely. They have good coffee and nice atmosphere that can motivate you for work. I wish it was a bigger place but also cute as it is now

Very friendly vibe - just happened to pass by for the day touring Tallinn and didn't know about this place, read and wrote the reviews later and agree with the 5 star rating. Very cozy inside, you can see many people working on their laptops, and a patio seating outside when the weather is nice. Not far from the train station either. Happened to be a lovely day and I sat outside. Excellent customer service as well, I was surprised when I asked the lovely lady about the coffees and she gave me a whole tour of the different coffees, very pleasant and knowledgeable staff perhaps a connoisseur herself. I ended up buying one to take back to the USA with me and to share with friend. If I'm ever back in town would definetly stop by here again.

Vibey new coffee place in Kalamaja. Friendly staff, beautiful interior, and amazing coffee. Prices are good-standard (I paid €3.50 for a flat white).

The music was lively, the space is so cool and well used. Free wifi (but only for an hour). They offer bottomless coffee, which is quite rare in Tallinn.

We got there at 8 am (when they opened) but the fresh pastries only arrived after 9 am. So, I will come back to try those soon 😊

This place is a must visit for coffee lovers. They’ve got a huge selection of different coffees. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The vibe is cozy, with lots of tables whether you’re solo with a laptop or hanging out with friends. Definitely one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
