The Rabbit Hole Coffee Sultanahmet

Quaint neighbourhood café that seems very popular among tourists with great wifi 💕 large Turkish tea comes in a giant mug with a cookie; Turkish coffee had a strange earthy flavour, the only thing we would avoid. Cash or plastic card only!

They are chronically closed during their stated working hours. We tried to have a breakfast there twice. At 9:00 they were closed

I didn’t even come here on purpose! I was hopelessly lost in the winding hilled roads of Istanbul near Küçük Ayasofya, trying to make it back to the apartment we were renting, and working with no roaming and very little Turkish in my vocabulary. I happened upon this delightful cafe, ordered some food to go, and managed to communicate the fact that I was lost. The owner got me onto their wifi, asked me to show him where I was staying on a map, then proceeded to tell me he lived just a few doors away and insisted on walking me there while carrying my order — including five Turkish coffees — straight to our door to be sure I got there safely. Plus, he refused to accept a tip when offered. And to top it all off, the food was wonderful! I wish I’d had the time to stop by for a more indulgent visit and enjoy more food and this incredibly charming atmosphere, but please do so in my stead until I can make my way back across the ocean again.

Great tea and coffee, and the service is awesome. Very kind and the cats are the sweetest! Came for the coffee, stayed for the cats. Prices are great too - comes wifi, a bathroom, and a comfy place to chill and read.

La comida es deliciosa, el ambiente del lugar es muy agradable y los precios son razonables, además el wifi es super bueno. El desayuno turco es delicioso y super grande. Recomendado ❤️

We loved breakfast here was super tasty and felt local. Run by two very hard working ladies. Codee and food was delicious. Service was great but when they get busy expect to wait your turn. Prices were very reasonable they are not ripping off tourists unlike others in the area highly recommend

As a local worker of the area,since last 3 years im passing by from the place,at first i thought what a lovely place it is,then i saw some guy is getting so well with his clients and i said,he must be loving his job otherwise you cant get well with everyone (experienced,still)then i wanted to have connections with them but had no idea how,time passed and the man and his lovely coworkers came to place that i work.We met,and im so glad about it because now when i have free time my legs brings me here! Now i want to work here but for some reasons i cant leave the place that im working now but one day,one day you will see this comment and when you visit this gem you will remember the comment and ask “Is the guy in the comments,could he leave his job and start here?” and i will answer “You are talking to that guy and i still think the same way as i did then”

Such a lovely place! Super friendly and nice people working here, with delicious coffee and space to sit outside and cuddle kitties — a really nice relaxing break from the main streets.
